EMPOWERED TO EXCEL GRANTS
The 2027-2028 Empowered to Excel Grant application portal will open on Sunday, February 14, 2027. Applications are due by 5:00PM on Thursday, March 25, 2027. There have been changes to the application - HEB ISD educators, start your application early!!
The HEB ISD Education Foundation awarded 31 grants across 21 campuses and classrooms totaling over $105,000 for the 2026-2027 school year. Your gifts make our work possible! Thank you!
2026-2027 Empowered to Excel grant winners included innovative initiatives like a pollinator & exploration garden for Pre-K, Spanish immersion media & journalism innovation studio, a schoolwide student incentive store, safe saws for cardboard creativity, a mountain expedition experience, a student-built mobile greenhouse, arts, enhancing student behavior and safety on school buses, and much more!
