The 2019 Awards of Excellence dinner and ceremony was held on March 21, 2019 at the HEB ISD's Pat May Center. The annual event recoginizes 33 outstanding high school seniors and their teacher mentors in 14 fields of study.
This year we were honored to have special recognition from elected officials. Congressman Kenny Marchant entered our awardees into the Congressional Record where they were forever be memorialized in the Library of Congress.
The Education Foundation honored the life and legacy of Board Member Georgia Kidwell who passed away this past November with the Georgia Kidwell Memorial Award for Excellence in Student Achievement for Teaching and a Memorial Award to to Bellaire Elementary to honor Georgia's tenure at Bellaire as a 2nd grade teacher.
